ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE ELECTION
OF A CANDIDATE FOR THE OFFICE OF DEAN
OF TRNAVA UNIVERSITY, FACULTY OF LAW
The Academic Senate of Trnava University, Faculty of Law (hereinafter referred to as "the Senate"), in accordance with Article 32(1) of the Statute of Trnava University of 2 February 2023 (hereinafter referred to as "TU Statute"), announced on 20 June 2023 the election of a candidate for the position of Dean of Trnava University, Faculty of Law for the term of office 01.11.2023 - 31.10.2027.
The President of the Senate, pursuant to Article 32(2) of the TU Statute, set the date of the election for 26 October 2023 at 10:00 a.m. and designated the Collegium Novum room in the building of Trnava University, Faculty of Law, 10 Kollárova St., 917 01 Trnava, as the place of the election.
The candidate for the post of Dean is elected by the Electoral Assembly, which consists of the Senate and the nominees of the Rector of Trnava University, in accordance with Article 32(4) of the TU Statute. The Rector shall nominate one-quarter of the members of the Electoral Assembly at the latest 40 calendar days before the election date. The Rector's nominees shall come from the academic community of Trnava University and may not be members of the academic community of the faculty whose candidate for dean is being elected. One of the rector's nominees shall be a member of the student body of the university and may not come from the faculty concerned.
Under Article 32(17) of the TU Statute, the nomination of a candidate for election to the office of dean shall be submitted in writing to the Chair of the Election Committee, through the Secretariat of the Senate, no later than 14 calendar days prior to the election date. The nomination shall be accompanied by the nominated candidate's written consent to stand for election, a professional curriculum vitae, including information on the scientific and pedagogical qualifications attained, and a concept for the development of the faculty.
